Pisac Ruins, Market
& Awanacancha textile center
Located on a hill (30km from Cusco), walk through the Pisac ruins,
some of the finest ones in the Valley, other important ruins in the
area are Pisaca, a curving wall, the Intihuatana group of temples
and the military area known as Q’allaqasa. Trip also includes
a stop at Awanacancha, where you can meet weaving artisans and see
South American camelid species. Duration: ½ day (3 hours approximately)

Ollantaytambo’s
Inca Fortress & Catcco Museum
Climb the considered oldest continuously occupied settlement in the
Americas. Ollantaytambo, a temple and a fortress for the Incas, with
extremely well-built stone walls and steep terraces, is one of the
few places where the Conquerors lost a major battle, even though the
complex was still under construction. The Museum and Cultural Center
of Ollantaytambo (CATCCO) promotes traditional Ollantaytambo culture

Maras’ Salt
Mines & Moray’s Terraces & Yahuarmaqui Ceramics’
Workshop
Stop at the ancient salt mines of Maras just to continue to Moray,
huge circular agricultural terraces, built by the Incas in natural
sinkholes on a limestone plateau, and used as a laboratory. Continue
to Yahuarmaqui, a ceramic workshop, and learn from an authentic artist
how to decorate and paint a raw ceramic. Duration: ½ day (3

Trek
to Huchuy Qosqo, Retreat Home of Inca Wiracocha
Combining archeology and spectacular scenic views of the mountains,
hike up to the archeological site of Huchuy Qosqo (Little Cusco),
retreat home of the Inca Wiracocha, where Inca buildings, ceremonial
centers and plazas, and the stream running through it, make it the
perfect place for a governor residence. Duration: 1 day / Difficulty
