Day 1
Thursday, Ilulissat
• Flight from Baltimore to Ilulissat (connecting via Kangerlussuaq). Transfer from airport to Hotel Arctic. After check-in, meeting with local guide to select optional excursion. Welcome dinner.

Days 2-3
Friday - Saturday,walk to the icefjord
• Guided tour of the town and a walk to former Inuit settlement of Sermermiut. There will be an opportunity to take optional excursions. We recommend a trip to the Eqi glacier.

Days 4-5
Sunday - Monday, sailing along west coast
• Transfer from Hotel Arctic to the harbor. We board the ship Sarfaq Ittuk and our tour leader will be on the boat for the whole trip. Accommodation in cabin with private bathroom/toilet. Full board on boat. Enjoy the cruise along the west coast amongst enormous icebergs in the Disko Bay. The chances of spotting both seals and whales as you sail are very good. There will be short stops in Aasiaat and Maniitsoq with a slightly longer stay in Sisimiut, where your guide will take you on a short tour of the town.

Day 6
Tuesday, Nuuk
• Morning light from Illulissat to Nuuk and transfer to Hotel Hans Egede. Walk around town. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 7
Wednesday, Nuuk
• Day at leisure to explore Nuuk, the capital of Greenland, which is a good place for whale watching. During the summer, there is a good chance of spotting humpback whales just outside the town.

Day 8
Thursday, return to Baltimore
• Flight back to Baltimore via Kangerlussuaq.
