village of Puerto Natales located on the Ultima Esperanza Fiord. Accommodation

down the mountains, seals and abundant bird life. Continue to the National
Park by Zodiac. Skirt along glacial blue lakes and pass guanaco and rhea
herds once approching the towering peaks. The Horns of Paine are right
before us, as in Paine Grande, the largest of this range. Accommodation
at refuge.

the Rio Ascencio to the base of the towers of Paine. The return consists

Day 4- Los Cuernos
Breakfast. This morning we will meet our horse cargo and our main luggage
will be packed and carried by the horses to the Refugio Los Cuernos (The
Horns Refuge). This is a 5 to 6 hour hike along the scenic Lake Nordenskjöld.
The refuge is set above the lake and has a great view of the Paine Massif.
Accommodation.
Day 5- Lago Pehoe Refuge
Breakfast. You can choose between the easy or the difficult hike. The
easy option is to walk along the direct route of 4 to 5 hours. However,
we recommend taking a detour up the French Valley to experience the fantastic
view of the glaciers and the waterfalls, surrounded by the granite peaks
of Paine. The valley is exciting because of the river's thundering noise
as well as the cracks and groans of the French Glacier. The view of the
lakes and forests below are amazing. This hike can be 4 to 5 hours in
addition to the days walk, or you can venture half way up for most of
the highlights. The trekking ends at Pehoe Refuge, which is set on a stunning
blue lake. Snow capped peaks appear on the east and the refuge has a great
view back of the main center of the park. Accommodation at refuge.
Day 6- Grey Refuge
Breakfast. A 4 hour hike to view the spectacular Grey Glacier and the
snowed mountains beyond. Arrival at Grey Refuge. In the afternoon you
can join a minitrekking on Grey Glacier (optional). Accommodation at Grey
Refuge on the beachside.
Day 7- Administration
Early in the morning walk to the lookout to admire spectacular views of
the Grey Glacier. Breakfast. Return by the same trail to Pehoe Refuge,
passing by mountain lakes with wild flowers on the sides and stunning
views of the lakes below. Continue bordering Pehoe Lake until you arrive
at the Administration. Accommodation at Hostel.
Day 8- El Calafate
Breakfast. Take the morning boat from Pehoe to Pudeto, where a bus will
meet us to drive back to El Calafate. Accommodation at hotel.
Day 9- El Calafate
Breakfast. Transfer to the local airport to board the return flight.
