Meet the lake District at it’s Best

Day 1: Puerto Montt – Petrohué Lodge
Upon arrival, our guide will be waiting for you to take you on a superb journey into the wild and unexplored territories of the Chilean Lake District, where volcanoes, emerald green and blue rivers, lush centenary forests and of course lakes, create one of the most unique landscapes. We will drive east towards the town of Petrohue, by doing so we will visit the beautiful city of Puerto Varas, the city of roses with its European heritage. The first glimpse that we will have of the Osorno Volcano and the Llanquihue Lake, one of the bigger lakes in South America, are simply spectacular. In the afternoon we arrive at our destination, the charming and comfortable Country - Lodge of Petrohué. The hotel is placed inside Chile’s Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park, just on the shore of Lake Todos los Santos and the confluence of the turquoise Petrohué River; famous among rafters and fly-fishers alike. The perfectly shaped and snow capped Osorno Volcano starts right on the property! The spectacular Petrohué Falls are within a short hiking distance! With a distinguishable European influence the hotel’s structure is a warm invitation to keep in mind the legacy of the first settlers that inhabited this untamed region.
As we arrive to the hotel, you can settle into one of its great rooms knowing that our guides are already working so you can have a head start; right after lunch, a half day excursion will be waiting for you. Overnight in Petrohué. (L, D)
