RECIFE

Day 01 – RECIFE
Reception and transfer from airport to selected hotel. Day at leisure. We recommend walking around the city. Recife by night Get to know Old Recife and its fine colonial architecture in a panoramic tour of the city’s three main islands (Recife, Santo Antônio and Boa Vista) with their beautifully lit monuments: the Maurício de Nassau bridge, Praça da República (flanked by the Governor’s Palace, Santa Isabel Theatre and the Law Courts) and the Casa da Cultura. The tour includes a catamaran trip around the rivers of Central Recife. Overnight accommodation.
Day 02 – RECIFE
Breakfast . Full day city tour Recife & Olinda . An excursion showing the highlights of Recife and Olinda The tour begins with a panorama of Recife, including the three islands (Recife, Santo Antônio and Boa Vista) that make up the city centre, the bridge of Maurício de Nassau, Praça da República (flanked by the Governor’s Palace, Santa Isabel Theatre and the Law Courts) and the Casa da Cultura, a fine building dating from the 19th century. Originally a prison, it’s now a centre for regional culture, with craft stores and local delicacies. In Olinda we’ll visit Alto da Sé, with the churches of Sé and Misericórdia, and a breathtaking view of the twin cities. In Carnival, joyful revellers parade down the streets after following the traditional giant puppets, like the Homem da Meia-noite (“Midnight Man”), or joining in the town’s colourful carnival troupes, such as Pitombeira dos Quatro Cantos and Elefante. Olinda has been declared a World Natural and Cultural Heritage Monument by UNESCO. Overnight accommodation
Day 03 – RECIFE
Breakfast. Full day Porto de Galinhas
Jangada Tour (traditional fishing raft) tours through the reef pools (depending on tides) and buggy trips to the beaches of Pontal de Maracaípe and Muro Alto Overnight accommodation
Day 04 - RECIFE
Breakfast. At appropriate time, transfer to the airport.
