HELSINGFORS - Parque Nacional Los Glaciares

Southern Patagonia, known as the “White Patagonia”, is one of the most amazing places in the world. The landscape discloses the immensity of the Patagonian steppe, only interrupted by milky emerald rivers, enormous lakes such as Lake Viedma, shinning lagoons framed by ever-snowed mountain peaks and the breathtaking presence of the glaciers. Helsingfors is placed by the South Western shore of Lake Viedma with a wonderful view of Mount Fitz Roy. Among others, navigation on our private Zodiac motor boat to the Viedma Glacier, trout fishing in the “Morro” lagoon, horseback riding and trekking either to the Blue Lagoon or the Three Lagoons.

Day 01 - HELSINGFORS
Arrival at El Calafate Airport. Reception and transfer to Helsingfors. Viedma Glacier navigation. Before reaching the glacier, hidden within the rocky walls, you will be able to appreciate the Amphitheatre Waterfall -a narrow water path among the rocks, with 40 meters-tall walls and crowned by a 10 meters-tall cascade. Once there you will appreciate a wonderful view- the glacier haughtily stands at approximately 60 mts. above the lake level and nature displays a unique blue color on its walls. As if this sight wasn’t enough, you will disembark on the dark side of the glacier to have a closer look at its caverns. Dinner.


Day 02 - HELSINGFORS
Breakfast and horseback riding to the Blue Lagoon. During the journey it is very common to see guanacos and condors curiously approaching to observe the visitor. Upon arrival, you will see the lagoon with its deep bright blue color in contrast with the darkness of the mountain and the whiteness of the glacier that comes down from the highest points of the Andes Mountains to the bank of the lagoon. There are beautiful surroundings that invite the visitor to contemplation and re ection in an absolute silence, which is only interrupted by the sounds of the usual avalanches that fall down from the summits to the glacier. Lunch and dinner.

Day 03 - HELSINGFORS
Breakfast. Departure to the Moyano Bay. During the navigation you will appreciate the Huemul, Mascarello, Moyano Hills and the Moyano Glacier coming down from the mountains. After a 25-minute navigation you will arrive at the descending point, where you will set out for a 30-minute walk that will take you to what is known as the Morro Lagoon. A mirror of crystal water is revealed among emerald green lenga woods. This lagoon is a quiet and peaceful paradise, ideal for trout shing. Lunch and dinner.

Day 04 - HELSINGFORS
After breakfast you will go for a walk to the Three Lagoons. Along the way, you will be able to observe the local ora which offers a diverse variety of species and a large number of birds. There are also sheep, guanacos, cows and “choikes” (Patagonian ostrich). On the way back, you will walk along the beautiful pebbled beach of Lake Viedma. Lunch and transfer to El Calafate Airport.
