Day 01: JUJUY/ CALILEGUA PARK.
Full day tour of Calilegua National Park
The Park was created in 1979 to protect the Yungas- one of the most bio-diverse environments in Argentina, and to protect the headwaters of these mountain streams. The park features deep canyons with steep slopes carved out by streams and rivers, as well as mountain ranges with peaks over 3,000 meters (10.000 ft). The region is home to numerous large mammals, including jaguars, tapirs, otters, deer, river wolves and acuti. The park also boasts approximately 400 species of birds, such as the large toucan, turkeys, vultures and various species of hummingbirds and woodpeckers. Accommodation at Posada del Sol.
Day 02: CALILEGUA PARK.
Spend the day exploring the park or nearby activities. Choose from a cultural visit to a regional museum to a leisurely walk along the river, a round of golf, fishing or a challenging full-day hike.
