Day 01: Sacramento. Arrival and transfer to Sacramento’s Selected hotel.
Day at leisure or optional City Tour/Waterfall tour

Day 02: Sacramento. 
In the morning travel in the direction of Serra da Canastra National Park. Stop at a typical farm that produces the famous Canastra cheese. The next stop is Desemboque, the oldest settlement in the region, founded in 1743. This sleepy town with 20 houses still features some buildings that date back to the 18th century. Afterwards, take a refreshing break at João Inacio to go for a swim or take a short walk. Late afternoon arrival at the cozy Portal da Canastra Inn.

Day 03: Sacramento.
In the morning visit Parida waterfall. Weather permitting there will be opportunity to go for a swim. Enjoy a typical ‘mineiro’ lunch with hearty stews and bean dishes. In the afternoon visit a few more waterfalls and trails in the area around the Inn.

Day 04: Sacramento. 
Today, visit the Serra da Canastra National Park and learn more about the biodiversity of the park. Highlights of the park include the source of one of Brazil`s most important rivers, the 3000 km/1850 mi long São Francisco River; the Curral de Pedras, the remnants of an old homestead; the upper part of the Casca d’anta waterfall with gorgeous views of the Garagem de Pedra lookout. Afternoon arrival at the quiet village of São João da Serra da Canastra.

Day 05: Sacramento.
In the morning visit the Jota waterfall. Weather permitting there will be time to enjoy a refreshing swim. Next, enter the Serra da Canastra National Park and visit the Fundão waterfall. This is a great location for spotting wild life. Conclude the tour in Araxa, a popular spa resort with thermal and mud baths.
