Day 01: IGUAZU. Upon arrival private transfer to Amerian Portal Iguazu Hotel  

Half Day tour of Argentine Falls

Visit the Argentinean side of the Iguazu Falls, located inside Iguazu National Park, one of the first protected nature areas in South America and a UNESCO Heritage Site. At the Visitor's Center board an open train for the 15-minute ride to the Cataratas Station. From here, follow a pleasant easy walking path through the forest that will lead to numerous lookouts along the upper and lower trail for a close-up look of numerous of the 275 waterfalls that drop from a height of 70 m/200 ft. Also take time to admire the lush rainforest, packed with an amazing variety of ferns, orchids, begonias, birds and butterflies. Then board the train to continue to Garganta Station. Follow the 1200 m/4000 ft walkway to the Devil's Throat lookout; be prepared to get wet and watch the impressive thunderous churning water below. Return by train to the Visitor's Center. Drop-off at the hotel

Day 02: IGUAZU/YACUTINGA LODGE:

Departure from Puerto Iguazu to Yacutinga Lodge. Travel through lush green picturesque landscape with red clay soil and Yerba Mate farms.

Arrival at Yacutinga Lodge, welcome and check-in. Presentation about the activities and an introduction to the environmental challenges of the rainforest and the lodge’s conservation activities. Dinner.

Day 03: YACUTINGA LODGE:

Morning paddle along the San Francisco stream. This quiet, calm paddle is a perfect opportunity to take pictures and observe the forest fauna. Return to the Lodge at mid-morning. Lunch.

The afternoon is free to explore the facilities at the Lodge (swimming pool, orchid trail, hummingbird project, etc.).

Late afternoon interpretative walk with an expert guide who will share wonderful information on the ecology, flora and fauna of the region.

Back to the Lodge. Dinner and nocturnal activity.

Day 04: YACUTINGA LODGE/ESTANCIA EL TRANSITO: Breakfast and Brunch at the Lodge. Free time to enjoy the Lodge area. 

Full day Tour to San Ignacio Ruins

Departure from the lodge for the 240 km/149 mi drive to San Ignacio Mini. Originally built in the 17th century by the Jesuits to convert the local Guarani Indians to Christianity, these ruins are some of the best preserved Jesuit monuments in Argentina and were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Begin the tour with a visit to the archeological museum for an overview of the settlement. Next tour the remains of the mission, which include the main square, the rows of indigenous houses, the church, the cloister, the cemetery and shops. Afterwards, we visit the Wanda Mines, an active gemstone mine that extracts agate, amethyst, topaz and different types of quartz. 

Transfer to the Posadas airport for the flight to Corrientes. Welcome and pick-up at Corrientes Airport by Horseback Safari representative and private transfer overland to Estancia El Transito Lodge

Day 05 & Day 06: ESTANCIA EL TRANSITO/SAN ALFONSO:

Ride of early in the morning towards San Alonso Island Rain Forest Lodge, crossing rivers and estuarios, lunch stop at gauchos house, arriving San Alonso Island for sundowners. 

Spend two nights at San Alfonso Island, including all day safari and game activities. 

Day 07 & Day 8: SAN ALFONSO/RINCON DEL SOCORRO:

In the morning of Day 7, board a small plane for a 15-minute scenic flight over the mighty Ibera Wetlands to Rincon del Socorro Luxury Eco-Lodge.

Spend two nights at Rincon del Socorro; includes full board, nature tours and leisure activities. Rincon del Socorro is a luxurious eco-lodge, perfectly located for exploring the magnificent Ibera wetlands. Choose from a range of activities, including horseback riding, boat tours, birdwatching and nature observation, walking excursions and more.

Day 9:RINCON DEL SOCORRO: At appropriate time, transfer to the Airport.
