Salentein
Winery - Mendoza, Argentina.
Literally at the foot of the Andes, Bodegas Salentein
are situated in a prime location, at more than 1.200 metres
above sea level, surrounded by the company's fincas. The winery,
unique in the region, is built in the shape of a cross. Each
of the four wings is a small winery with 2 sections: the first
one, at ground level, houses the stainless steel tanks, while
the second one, underground, is used for maturing the wine
in oak casks at 8 metres below ground level. The four wineries
come together in a central chamber resembling an amphitheater
and there they share the bottling facilities.
