Explorations
Explorations hae been carefully created and are
classified according to duration and level of difficulty.
Each day our guests can choose from 5 to 10 different
options, selected according to the weather conditions
and guests desire. Hiking, horseback riding, in a van
or by motorboat; in groups no larger than 10 guests accompanied by a bilingual guide, explorations allow
an in-depth contact with the wonders of torres del
Paine National Park, year round.
Clothing
Explorations require clothing suitable for trekking,
and we suggest that you dress in layers. We
recommend bringing all that’s necessary for protection
from the sun.
• 1st layer: Short- or long-sleeved shirt, ideally dry fit
(fibers that dry quickly), and not cotton.
• 2nd layer: Fleece, or some other warm layer.
• 3rd layer: Windbreaker and/or waterproof jacket.
• Trekking pants, ideally resistant to rain and wind.
If not, it is recommended that you bring waterproof
shell pants that you can wear over your trekking
pants in the event of rain or wind. Warm thermal
underwear is recommended in cold weather, ideally
made from dry fit fabrics.
• Waterproof walking shoes, with a rubber anti-slip
sole and ankle support to prevent sprains.
• Gloves.
• Hat or headband to protect your ears from wind.
• Sunscreen and lip protection.
• Swimsuit.
• Sneakers or sports shoes.
• Backpack to carry sunscreen, camera, water, etc.
• For inside the hotel: light, informal clothing (the
hotel is heated).
explora considers elegance an interior virtue.
